For donors

Donate cricket gear

Cricket gear and clothing — bats, pads, gloves, helmets, trousers, shirts, jumpers, shoes, balls, bags and more.

Cricket gear sat in the back of a cupboard or club store could be the start of someone's first season. Drop your clean kit at one of our collection centres and log it on the form below — we'll match it with a school or community group and let you know it's gone to a good home.

Clean gear only, please

CCG Hub only accepts clean cricket gear and clothing. Items must be washed and free of dirt, mud and stains before donation. If gear is not clean, we cannot accept it — please take the time to launder kit before bringing it in. This keeps our centres hygienic and means recipients receive gear they can use straight away.

What we accept (clean only)

  • Bats (junior and senior)
  • Pads (batting and wicket-keeping)
  • Gloves
  • Helmets in good condition
  • Cricket trousers
  • Cricket shirts and training shirts
  • Cricket jumpers
  • Cricket shoes — cleaned
  • Balls (used but in playable condition)
  • Kit bags
  • And more — if in doubt, get in touch

What we can't take (exclusions)

  • Dirty or unwashed gear and clothing
  • Non-cricket sports gear (e.g. football, rugby, hockey, tennis)
  • Non-cricket clothing (general everyday clothing)
  • Damaged or unsafe helmets
  • Cracked bats or broken pads
  • Heavily worn or torn items not suitable for play

Have non-cricket sports gear to give away? CCG Hub is partnering with an online platform for the redistribution of other sports gear — see our Partnerships page for details.

How donating works — three simple steps

Get in touch first

Email us so we can confirm your gear is something we can take and agree a good time for the drop-off. This avoids wasted journeys.

Drop off at a collection centre

Bring your clean gear and clothing to Spencer Cricket Club, Fieldview, Earlsfield, London SW18 3HF.

It finds a new home

Your gear is matched with a school or community group's wish list.

Where to drop off

At this stage, donations are received at Spencer Cricket Club in Wandsworth. We hope to add further drop-off points as relationships with Wandsworth Borough Council (WBC) and other partners develop.

More drop-off points coming

We hope to add further drop-off points during the 2026 season. Updates will appear here.

Become a drop-off point

Log your donation

Use the form below to record what you've donated. Tick each item, enter the quantity, and use the free-text box at the bottom for anything not on the list. The form also asks how you heard about CCG Hub (e.g. Surrey Cricket Foundation, Spencer Cricket Club, a friend). The form takes a few minutes.

Prefer not to fill it in yourself? Centre staff can do it on your behalf when you drop your gear off.

Trouble loading the form? Open it in a new tab or email jamie.greig@spencercricket.org or hyde.acland@gmail.com.

Big donations — clubs, schools, companies

If you're running a kit drive (a whole club clear-out, an end-of-season collection, or a corporate sustainability push), please email us first. We can plan the drop-off together and — for larger donations — discuss collection from your site.

Frequently asked questions

Why do you only accept clean gear?

We want recipients to receive gear they can use straight away. Accepting dirty kit also means more staff time on cleaning rather than matching donations to wish lists. Please wash all gear and clothing before bringing it in.

Can I drop off without booking?

Please get in touch first. Each collection centre is busy and we want staff there to receive and log your donation properly.

Will you collect from me?

Collection isn't offered as standard, but for larger donations (whole bags or club-wide drives) we'll do our best — just ask.

Can I donate as a club, school or company?

Yes. Clubs and corporate kit drives are very welcome. Email us first so we can plan the drop-off together.

Can I donate non-cricket sports gear here?

No — CCG Hub focuses on cricket gear and clothing only. For other sports, see our Partnerships page for our upcoming partner platform.

Can I get a receipt for my donation?

We can confirm your donation in writing if it's helpful — for example if your club or workplace wants a record. Mention this when you contact us.

What happens to gear we can't pass on?

We try to find every item a new home. Anything that genuinely can't be reused will be recycled responsibly through our partners.
